Current Event two

Russia and China continue to support the Syrian regime. But why? For the last couple months now almost every country around the world has denounced the actions of the Syrian regime aganist it's own citizens. With the death toll in the thousands many are asking why the Russin's and the Chinese stand by and let this occur, or even support them as some critics say. Do they just love being the bad guys? That may be, but as for the economic reasons for their lack of criticism Russia is one of Syria's biggest arms dealers in the world while China ranks as Syria's third largest importer. Because of these ecomonic gains and adding on to it the fact that Syria is one of Russia and China's greatest ally in the Middle East, resolution doesn't seem like it is in the near future for the U.N. Security Council and all of the naations that make it up.
